The stars brighten the dark,
the light that came from a spark
Because we all need light in our life
to surpass all the hate and the strife
but once in a blue moon
I was a man who was marooned
I saw a shooting star,
it was so rare, so bizarre;
it was beautiful, so rare
the one I was looking for I swear.
I waited day and night
for the star that burned bright
I found the treasure,
not the kind that would bring luxury and pleasure,
but the kind that would bring me light;
The light that brought me great delight
I wished for you to stay
along with me every day.

I’ll grow old thanking the star
that I saw from afar,
It brought me joy;
Something that I’ll always enjoy.
