Life is black,
terrified and blinded by your light,
I read your thoughts to gain some insight,
our entire beings at liberty,
but eyes shut so tight to everything.

We’ve all lived for centuries,
a lifetime of being afraid.
Please let us forget those memories,
happiness beginning to fade.

I’ve been so ill,
clouds forming over my mind,
and now my life left so far behind,
chasing the past … it pulls me in,
reality’s grip has tightened.

A pale mind hidden inside,
not knowing how to feel,
Let the world control your eyes,
illusions made real.

Death has come,
Eluding reality’s grip on me,
our minds melding together,
what must I do to make you see,
illusions made real.
