I caught a glimpse of your smile as it refracted through the water of a window pane,
you ran for cover to avoid the rain,
I sat inside looking out wondering your name,
would you look at me the same?

Do you live fulfilled or are you surrounded by emptiness? Could I fill the void?
I know I’m not much but is that okay?

I relate to the darkness to reassure the loneliness, if you knew my name would you consider talking until you cleared my head of this mess,
then could we just lay in silence making up for lost time,
enjoying the moment of just staring eye to eye,
because to me you really are beautiful.
